HBHS Junior Cricket Qualify for Nationals

With their most recent victory, the HBHS Premier Colts team have qualified as the Northern Districts representative making them one of the top six teams in New Zealand. They will compete in the Community Shield against five other winners of the wider regions of New Zealand during Tournament Week later this term in Palmerston North.

The team started their qualifying process by winning the Hamilton region with wins against Rototuna High School, St Paul's Collegiate and St Johns. They then played knockout games against Bay of Plenty winners Tauranga Boys' College and Northland winners Whangarei Boys' High School. In The Northern Districts final against Whangarei, HBHS did well to restrict Whangarei to 152 and were able to chase that total down losing just two wickets and needing 28 overs.

The HBHS Colts team are unbeaten this year through the Hamilton competition and National Qualifying process. We look forward to hearing their results in Palmerston North later this month.
