HBHS finish second at inaugural Golf Croquet Championships

Last Sunday, HBHS took part in the inaugural Golf Croquet Waikato Championships held at the Claudelands Croquet Club.  We entered three teams, Year 9 students Kai Clapham and Barry Mylchreest who finished 5th with Kai getting the only hoop for the day, along with Niko Verebasaga and Mark Chulaprungroung who were late fill-ins and who managed to notch up a couple of good wins to finish 6th.  The stand-out performers of the day were Keegan Hansen and Lachie McIsaac who finished second in the Waikato which was a very impressive effort considering how little practice they have been able to get in.  Congratulations to all of these boys on their efforts and thanks to Mr Brendon Cooley for this report.
