HBHS win Northern Regional Canoe Polo Championships

It is described as being a friendly tournament, that is, until the teams get on the water, and then it is deadly serious.  The HBHS Canoe Polo team recently won the Northern Regional Canoe Polo title, beating Te Puke High School 6 - 5 with a golden goal.  HBHS were well in control of the match, but let the Te Puke team back into it in the second half, meaning that the scores were locked at 5 all at the end of regular time.  HBHS held their nerve after weathering the Te Puke come-back and scored the winning goal to take the title.  Congratulations to the team on their success and to Teacher in Charge of Canoe Polo, Mr Gavin Lannam.
