The HBHS Golf Championships of 2016

Last Thursday, 30 boys braved the elements and contended with some very tricky weather to contest the 2016 HBHS Golf Championships.  All year groups were represented and there were some very close battles.  In the race for the senior title, Tyler Wood (Year 12) and Sam Brinkworth (Year 12) shot even-par 72's to take a three-shot lead over Michael Jones (Year 12) and a six-shot lead over defending champion and Captain of Golf for 2016, James Fellows-Ford (pictured right, putting).  The senior title is played out over six rounds, so there is still plenty of golf to come.  In the junior competition, Luke Kidd (pictured right, driving), retained his title in emphatic style, finishing with a round of 76 and a 15-shot lead over the rest of the junior field.  Well done to all of these boys on their efforts in trying conditions.
