2012 has come around quickly, and it was back to school on 31st January and straight on with the endless task of cataloguing and indexing. Glenn Lee has thankfully returned for another gruelling round of 'what-do-we-call-this?' on the database, giving complex objects a title so that it can be retrieved in the future. Paula and Margaret did an awesome job in the dying weeks of Term 4 last year, helping to catalogue the Team photos from 2000 -2010, entering the names of each student so that we can respond to requests and find the photos quickly when we need them.

 
HBHS has always recognized the value of safeguarding our heritage and can be proud of the resource that has been assembled over the years. 2012 will hopefully see it all coming together, in one place and under one database.
 
In the mean time business as usual carries on with requests from Old Boys and their families, assembling photographs and records for mini class and sport reunions (and the occasional surprise birthday celebration) and the ongoing updating of our Old Boys' Database. We now have 20431 ex-students entered into our database, but don't have addresses or contact details for many of them. If you are one of them, or know of the whereabouts for someone else, please let us know, or encourage them to update their details. Our Old Boys are really important to us, and we would love to be able to invite them to tournaments and special events.
 
We have been so grateful over the years, to have memorabilia donated and lent to us, both by Old Boys and their families.  The history of our school is essential to its continued success.

  • Memoirs & Diaries
  • Photographs of school days, students, staff, snaps etc
  • Individual photographs of School Leaders (dux, head boy , sports captains) 

  • Especially class photos pre 1971

We will be really happy to take copies and let you have the originals back.
