Old Boys News

Welcome to 2012 to all of our Old Boys and Friends of Hamilton Boys' High School.

The year has already gotten off to a great start.

The Old Boys' database is continuing to be a work in progress, and thank you to those of you who have recently notified me of changes to email addresses. Those have been updated. As of this year, we have an option on the database to record that you were one of our celebrated 'Hostel Boys' in anticipation of the upcoming Argyle House Reunion which is on the horizon, still a fair way away but looming. The time will go quickly and it will be upon us, so make sure that you tick the box retrospectively to ensure an invitation comes your way.

We still have copies of the Centennial Book, which can be purchased from us, for $59 plus postage. I gather by the flurry that went out before Christmas, that they made a lovely gift for some of our ex-students. Please get in touch if you would like one.

If you haven't registered our on-line database, then please do. Your name and year of enrolment should already be uploaded but we won't have address and contact details unless you put them in. Data Protection laws make our Old Boys' really hard to find so we rely on your staying in touch, and letting us know changes of address or telephone numbers. It is sad to hear of people missing reunions that they may have enjoyed, because we simply couldn't contact them.

Please click here to register.

If you would like to read a copy of our termly newsletter High Achiever online, go to our website, and in the list on the left, you will find 'Current Newsletter' as the bottom tab. Click on that, and it will appear. It is a great way of keeping up to date with events, achievements and news at Boys' High. If you would like a hard copy of the newsletter and haven't been receiving one, please contact us and that can be arranged easily.

Feel free to contact me with any database problems or if you have any other news. Office hours are 8.30 - 12 noon Monday to Friday during term time. If you are passing, please pop in for coffee. The stash of biscuits was looking a little old, and has been replenished, so come and have a cup of tea and a biccy.
