Whanau Group
Te Whanau Tautoko o te Kura Ngaa Tai Tama o Kirikiriroa
The whanau group was formed in 2000, by parents of Maori students who were interested in supporting their sons' education while at Hamilton Boys' High School.
In November 2000 the whanau became a legal entity as a Charitable Trust, so that the whanau could apply to funding organisations to help support the boys.
The whanau group meets monthly to:
- Discuss the programmes and how the school is delivering education to our boys.
- Discuss how we can work alongside the school's board, management and staff to get good educational outcomes for our boys, and
- Plan future developments and discuss any issues that parents may have.
Meeting Dates and Times
Meetings are usually held from 6.30pm - 8.00pm on the second Tuesday of every month, prior to the school board's monthly meeting. A reminder is sent out to parents prior to the meeting and if you would like to be included on the mail out list, please contact Miriama Barton at the school.
