HBHS Tonga Food Drive
The people of Tonga have found themselves in difficult circumstances as a result of recent events and we, the service committee of Hamilton Boys’ High School, would like to support them in their difficulties as best as we can.
How can we help?
This Saturday a shipping container is being stacked to send resources to Tonga. Over the next three days we want to bring in whatever we can, students and staff, to help support the people of Tonga with their necessities.
What can we bring?
Firstly, gold coin donations. All money collected will contribute to the effort to support our Tongan whanau.
If you would rather contribute non-perishable items, we would appreciate:
- Cooking oil
- Cans, pasta, rice
- Solar lights, torches, batteries, spades (material resources)
- Lastly, generators are also greatly in need, so these, or donations towards these, would be greatly appreciated.
All of these contributions, no matter how big or how small, can make a difference in helping the people of Tonga to recover from the circumstances that they find themselves in.
We will be collecting all monetary contributions during Tutor Group on Wednesday and Friday, and during Period 1 on Thursday, in the Study Centre.
