HBHS Vaping announcement
Given the recent increase in popularity in 'vaping', I am writing to you to stress the fact that Hamilton Boys' High School maintains its policy of banning the use and possession of vaping equipment, both on school grounds, and by any student in school uniform. It is illegal to sell vaping products to students under age 18. However, our policies apply to all enrolled students, regardless of age.
Standard disciplinary procedures apply under our "Use of banned/prohibited items" guidelines, which include Vaping, and are further supported by the Smoke-free Environments act of 1990.
Parents are strongly encouraged to discuss vaping with their sons, given the growing body of evidence demonstrating the potential health risks associated with it.
Thank you for your support.
