Results Round Up

It was another very good week and weekend for our HBHS Sports teams.  Our Swimming team was utterly dominant at the Waikato Secondary Schools Swimming Championships last week, taking out the Top Overall Boys School prize (which we have won every year since 2003) and the Top Overall School for the third year in a row.  The team scored 1500 points, with second placed Waikato Diocesan scoring 900, and the next best boys school, St John's College, scoring 750 points.  Of note was the performance of the 4 x 25m Relay team of Ciaran Watson, Carlos Hardie, Hunter Read, and Dominic Fawkner who set a new record in this event.  The Senior Premier Basketball team scored a 40 point win in their fixture on Friday night, and the 1st XI Football team bounced back emphatically from last week to beat St Peter's School Cambridge 5 - 0 in their National qualifier.  Our Team of the Week award goes to our 1st XI Hockey team for their 3 - 1 win over St Paul's Collegiate in the Matthew Allen Cup Match last week.  Our teams will all be in action this Wednesday in the first of our major winter sports exchanges, versus Auckland Grammar this Wednesday the 2nd of June, at Auckland Grammar.  We will keep you posted on results as they come in.
